CORE Myofascial Therapy: Your Answer To Chronic Pain & Poor Posture
CORE Myofascial Therapy is a client - centered, full body treatment approach that mobilizes the myofascial network, improving human structural and functional potentials. This type of therapy centers on advanced structural and myofascial procedures, exercises, and educational strategies that increase the client's resiliency, flexibility, balance, and awareness. The therapist applies slow, deep pressure at a 45 degree angle feeling the movement of tissue below the touch. CORE Myofascial Therapy was developed out of the CORE Institute's advanced structural integration program, commonly known as The CORE Method of Structural Integration. CORE Structural bodywork was developed by George P. Kousaleos, B.A., L.M.T., N.C.T.M.B. founder of the CORE Institute and one of the nation's most innovative teachers of Myofascial and Structural therapies. He created an approach that focuses on the intrinsic spiral found in the human body. CORE Myofascial Therapy can be done in 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute sessions: 30 Min: CORE Specific Techniques can be applied to clients whom need deeper work to the neck, shoulder, back or hip, or for specific injury focus. 60 Min: This session combines the use of Myofascial Spreading, Arthrokinetics, and End Work for a lighter and more general CORE Bodywork session. This is also an excellent session for athletes who are heavy in training, or for post event treatment. 90-120 Min: This session format provides the ultimate CORE Myofascial treatment. This session utilizes all of the CORE techniques progressing from superficial, to moderate, to deep pressure throughout the body. Clients experience the greatest strucutral change during this session and are able to integrate this change through body reading techniques that take place pre, mid, and post session.
